Eagle Island

We're making good time now! I can already start to smell the salty sea air! This leg is all on the Yukon River heading straight into the winds. This stretch is all wide-open river surrounded by hills and dotted with islands midstream.

The landscape sure is beautiful. I know a great place to send beautiful cyber postcards. Want to send one to a friend or family member? Go to http://browse.postcards.org/postcards/cards/5601/ and see all the great choices. My favorite is the moose. You can pick your own.

Happy trials!

Hang in there, Mr. Cotter. Those winds look really nasty. Stay on the trail and keep warm. We know you'll make it.
